China has unveiled its latest military innovation, the GDF-600 hypersonic boost-glide weapon, at the Zhuhai airshow.

This unpowered weapon can carry and launch multiple sub-payloads mid-flight, targeting various objectives simultaneously.

These sub-payloads can also perform electronic warfare and reconnaissance operations.

The Guangdong Aerodynamic Research Academy (GARA) showcased the GDF-600, highlighting its capability to significantly enhance China’s strategic offensive potential.

The weapon can reach speeds up to Mach 7 and travel distances of up to 372 miles, making it difficult to defend against.

It can carry payloads up to 2,645 pounds and reach altitudes of 24 miles. With the ability to deploy UAVs and various sub-payloads, the GDF-600 presents a formidable challenge to adversaries.

Other notable exhibits at the airshow include the Jiu Tian drone mothership and the J-15D carrier-based warplane, showcasing China’s advancing military technologies.
