Nigeria and AC Milan winger Samuel Chukwueze has expressed his wish to one day play alongside Victor Osimhen at AC Milan.

Both Osimhen and Chukwueze started their professional career at the U-17 level when Nigeria won the converted trophy in Chile in 2015.

Osimhen won the golden boot at the competition after hitting 10 goals in just seven games.

He also won the silver ball award alongside CAF young player of the year in 2015.

Chukwueze who was better known as Truckracer was a regular who always played alongside Osimhen in the right wing, providing width for the forward as they have both progressed to the men senior National team together.

Chukwueze, after his arrival in Italy said, “I’m here thanks to the affection of the fans and thanks to Osimhen,” Chukwueze earlier told Milan TV.

“He (Osimhen) told me that Milan is a beautiful club, one of the best, and I should not hesitate to sign with them. He also said that they are fantastic and have wonderful fans.”

“I would like to close my eyes, open them again, and see him here at Milan. I always say to him: ‘Are you sure you don’t want to come?’ And he says: ‘Samuel, you know it’s difficult…’” Chukwueze said, as quoted by Pianetamilan.

Both players have all graduated well from the U-17 level to the senior team and have played a reasonable number of games together with great understanding.

Osimhen is currently seeking his way out of Napoli as clubs battle to sign the goal machine.

But Napoli’s asking price has always been an obstacle.

Napoli is requesting for €120 million as inserted in his contract but clubs are unwilling to pay the said sum.

French side PSG offered €80 million for the 25-year old forward but the Italian club remains adamant and holds out for their earlier demand of €120 million.

Chelsea and Arsenal have both indicated interest in the former Lille man as well as clubs from Saudi Arabia but a deal is far from being achieved as Osimhen remains in search for a new club.
