Former AC Milan coach Paulo Fonseca has blamed the side’s draw against Roma on Chukwueze’s forced exit.
Nigeria international Chukwueze was outstanding during the Serie A fixture, but was forced off due to injury.
According to Fonseca, the player’s exit forced formation change, which attract risk-taking.
“In the first half, we created several chances to score. Very fair attitude from the players.
“But with Chukwueze’s exit, we lost a lot and took a lot of risks. We deserved to win, but we missed many chances,” Fonseca said, per Nicolo Schira.
Nigerians expect Chukwueze to be back in time and regain form before the Super Eagles world cup qualifier next March.
Meanwhile, Fonseca has been relieved off his duty as the club has communicated to him as Sèrgio Conceição will be appointed next Milan Boss to resume new year.
