Covering Number Plates Violates Traffic Regulations, Says Bauchi Special Marshal

The Special Marshal Bauchi state has cautioned Car owners against covering Number plates because it is against traffic laws.

The country’s traffic rules and regulations prohibit obscuring one’s vehicle’s number plate, and owners in Bauchi State have been warned of this.

During their June monthly meeting, which was conducted on Saturday, members of the Special Marshall of the Federal Roads Safety Commission (FRSC)’s Bauchi State Sector Command reminded everyone.

The Special Marshall was horrified to see how these automobile owners—political office holders and their aides—violate traffic laws as though they are above the nation’s legal system.

Thus, in accordance with the pertinent national traffic legislation, they decided to work along with the Regular Marshals to enforce a strict crackdown on all defaulters.

The Special Marshall members questioned why someone would want to hide their car’s license plates when even the governor does not.

Hence, those who engage in such acts of disobedience to traffic regulations are required to halt or risk facing the full force of the law upon being caught.

The Special Marshalls also issued a warning, stating that going forward, they will be focusing on obscured license plates when conducting their weekly sweep and urging cooperation from the public.

Godwin Obioha, the Special Marshall’s Deputy State Coordinator, chaired the meeting and thanked the participants for their cooperation while pushing them to keep up the pace despite it being a selfless effort for the sake of society.
