Grammy Awards nominee and Nigerian superstar David Adeleke, known as Davido, has expressed disappointment that the money he and his wife, Chioma, received at their wedding didn’t match the amount sprayed at the ceremony held last week in Lagos State.
The lavish wedding, which took place on June 25, 2024, attracted dignitaries from around the world, many of whom sprayed dollar bills due to Nigeria’s Naira mutilation laws.
Commenting under a video posted by blogger and former musician Tunde Ednut, which showed guests spraying money at the wedding, Davido revealed that the money they took home didn’t add up to what was sprayed.
He wrote, “The video of all the money wey dey spray (that was sprayed) and wetin we carry go house (what we took home) no dey tally.”
This statement has left many wondering what could have happened to the money sprayed on the self-proclaimed Omo Baba Olowo.
