Arsenal Director Edu Gasper has expressed delight in his club’s acquisition of England international Raheem Sterling from London Rivals Chelsea.

Sterling was deemed surplus to requirements at Stamford Bridge according to new boss Enzo Maresca who insisted that should he fail to secure himself a move away from the club, he would never have minutes under his watch.

Sterling’s camp explored the market on deadline day to see how to find a solution for the 29-year-old as they negotiated with Manchester United for a loan move but United remains enough in terms of forward players having signed striker Joshua Zirkzee.

With the integration of young winger Amad who has established himself enough in the squad this season, coach Erik Ten Hag will be having a selection headache when the team is fully fit.

However, Arsenal took advantage of Sterling’s misfortune at Stamford Bridge to land the experienced winger which excites Edu.

“It makes a lot of sense to have someone like Raheem”.

“He has experience, he understands more than anyone in the league and he’s played in the Champions League many times… so we needed that”. Arsenal Director Edu said.

“Trust me. You’re about to see the best of me”. Sterling opined.

“Joining Arsenal is an unbelievable feeling. I’m buzzing. I’m repeating… this is a perfect fit for me!”.

“You see the journey the boys are on, the hunger and the togetherness is something I’m ready to be part of”. He added.
