The technical director of the Nigeria Football Federation (NFF) will continue in his role as the interim coach of the Nigeria Men senior national team, the Super Eagles.
Eguavoen led the team in two African Cup of Nations AFCON qualifiers in Uyo against Benin Republic and Rwanda wawy from home.
He was touted to have quit his role after those two outings as his mission was to take charge for two games before the NFF found a permanent coach for the team.
But as announced earlier yesterday, Eguavoen will still be the head Head Coach of the Super Eagles alongside assistants, Daniel Ogunmodede and Fidelis Ilechukwu.
The technical crew will lead Nigeria in next month’s doubleheader 2025 Africa Cup of Nations Qualifiers against Libya in Uyo and Benina respectively.
Additionally, Eguavoen and his lieutenants will take charge of the Super Eagles B in the qualifiers for next year’s Championship of African Nations, CHAN.
