Super Eagles captain William Troost-Ekong has boarded an air flight to Saudi Arabia to complete the formalities of his deal.

Ekong Agreed a deal in principle for his transfer from Greek side PAOK to the Saudi side Al Khalood.

The defender agreed on personal terms as fees between clubs had already been agreed long ago.

The 30-year old and his agent David Moss were already on their way to Saudi Arabia as of today for the deal.

Ekong has been one of the most reliable footballers in the Nigeria Super Eagles squad after deputizing Ahmed Musa in his absent with most specificity in the just concluded AFCON.

He led the Super Eagles squad to win Silver while also on individual basis winning the best player of the tournament.

The former Watford man won the Greek league with PAOK in his last season before leaving the club as he has writren his name in gold in the club’s book.
