Mohammed El-Rufai (APC-Kaduna) has expressed his admiration for Shehu Sani and Governor Uba Sani, recognizing their contributions to the fight for democracy in Nigeria.
During an event organized by the National Assembly Legislative Forum (NASSLAF) in Abuja, El-Rufai, who represents the Kaduna North federal constituency, also paid tribute to the late Gani Fawehinmi, Femi Falana, and other dedicated patriots.
Referring to Shehu Sani as a “father figure,” he remarked, “He was a prominent voice alongside my mentor, Senator Uba Sani. I am pleased to see Shehu Sani being acknowledged here.”
He further stated, “Despite any political disagreements with my father, it’s undeniable—even among Senator Shehu Sani’s critics—that he, along with the late Gani Fawehinmi and Femi Falana, has consistently championed the rights and welfare of workers.”
El-Rufai also emphasized the importance of preserving the integrity of the legislature, underscoring that the contributions of legislative aides in the lawmaking process should not be overlooked.
He praised both Sani and the Governor of Kaduna for their commendable treatment of their legislative aides during their tenure as senators.
