Kidnappers have killed the father of Professor Theophilus Daniel Lagi, who is the Deputy Vice-Chancellor of Nasarawa State University, Keffi.
Comrade Daniel Lagi was killed in Wamba Local Government Area of Nasarawa State. Tigga Kefas, a community development trainer and social activist, confirmed the news on Facebook on Monday, June 3, 2024.
“Another tragic event in Wamba LGA. Baba Comr. Daniel Lagi was killed by kidnappers. It’s heartbreaking to see that we now live in fear and feel like strangers in our own communities in Wamba because we are so vulnerable,” he wrote.
“Wamba, instead of becoming a hub for tourism, agriculture, and hospitality, is turning into a den of kidnappers and killers. May Baba Comr. Daniel Lagi’s soul rest in peace, and may God comfort the family of Prof. Theophilus Lagi, Hon. Innocent Lagi, and all the Lagi family during this painful time.”
