The Federal Government has declared Wednesday, June 12, 2024, as a public holiday in celebration of Democracy Day. This announcement was made by the Minister of Interior, Hon. Dr. Olubunmi Tunji-Ojo, via a statement from Dr. Aishetu Gogo Ndayako, the Permanent Secretary of the ministry.

He congratulated Nigerians on the occasion and urged them to uphold the principles of democratic governance.
