Manchester United captain Bruno Fernandes has taken full responsibility for the sack of manager Erik Ten Hag.
The Dutch manager lost his job after losing to West Ham in the Premier League and Bruno got his first goal of the season in United’s first game after he was fired.
Former United striker Ruud Van Nistelrooy has taken charge of the team since Ten Hag was relieved of his position as he is yet to loose a game.
In the two matches played after Ten Hag was sacked, Bruno Fernandes has scored three goals while the United team has scored six goals, while conceding three.
The United captain did not exempt himself when asked about the departure of the former Ajax coach.
Fernandes said, “Whenever you see a manager go you have to take some of the BLAME on yourself”.
Following the sack of Erik Ten Hag, Manchester United have agreed a deal in principle for the arrival of Sporting Lisbon manager Ruben Amorim as the new coach.
The Portuguese man will assume duty on November 11th while playing his first game on November 24th after the international break.
