In a show of support and reassurance, Nigeria’s First Lady, Oluremi Tinubu, has affirmed her husband’s deep love for the Nigerian people and his unwavering dedication to addressing the economic challenges currently facing the country.
As Nigeria braces itself for a nationwide protest scheduled for August 1, 2024, due to the escalating economic hardship, Mrs. Tinubu conveyed this message during a courtesy visit to the Oba of Lagos, Oba Rilwan Akiolu.
Her media aide, Busola Kukoyi, released a statement on Tuesday, highlighting the First Lady’s remarks.
“He (Tinubu) has a profound love for Nigeria and its people, and he is fully committed to their well-being,” she stated.
Oba Akiolu, in response, urged Nigerians to exercise patience with the Tinubu administration, emphasizing the significance of offering prayers for the nation’s welfare.
“Prayers are essential for the success of any endeavor,” he added.
