First Lady Oluremi Tinubu has sent a condolence message to Jigawa state governor, Mallam Umar Namadi, over the devastating petrol tanker explosion that claimed over 100 lives in Majiya Villa, Taura council area of the state. The tragic incident, which occurred early Wednesday, has left many injured and properties destroyed. In a condolence message made available to journalists at the State House, Abuja, Senator Tinubu described the incident as most unfortunate and prayed for God to grant the families of the deceased the strength to bear their loss. She also prayed for a speedy recovery of the injured and sought Allah’s mercy for the departed souls.

The First Lady’s message was a gesture of solidarity with the government and people of Jigawa State during their time of grief. “I condole with the Governor of Jigawa State, His Excellency, Mallam Umar Namadi, and the good people of the State on the unfortunate tanker explosion which occurred on Wednesday, 16th October 2024. “This tragic incident which left many dead, several injured, and loss of properties is most unfortunate.

“My thoughts and prayers are with you at this time. I pray to God to grant the friends, families, and loved ones of the departed souls the fortitude to bear the painful loss and grant speedy recovery to the injured.

“May Almighty Allah grant Aljanah Fridaus to the departed and comfort all those affected by this tragedy”, she said.
