A heartbreaking incident unfolded at a local community pool on Friday afternoon, as a five-year-old boy tragically drowned during a family outing. The incident, which occurred around 3:30 pm, has left the entire neighborhood in shock.
According to witnesses, the child had been playing in the shallow end of the pool before wandering into the deeper section, unnoticed by his family and other swimmers. Lifeguards quickly responded after spotting the child struggling, but despite immediate efforts to rescue him, he was unresponsive when pulled from the water.
CPR was administered on the scene by lifeguards and paramedics, but the boy was later pronounced dead at the hospital. His family, who had gathered for a weekend outing, are said to be devastated by the loss.
Local authorities have opened an investigation to determine if there were any lapses in supervision or safety protocols at the pool.
