Adams Oshiomhole, the former Governor of Edo State, has issued a stern warning to those contemplating a departure from the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) to join the All Progressives Congress (APC), declaring that the time for playing both sides is over.
These comments were made by the senator representing Edo North in light of the recent governorship election results in Edo State.
In a video message shared online, Oshiomhole addressed a crowd, urging potential defectors to remain committed to the PDP and its candidate for the upcoming September 21 election, Asue Ighodalo.
He stated, “You cannot support Asue Ighodalo and expect to benefit from both sides. The era of double-dealing is finished.”
Oshiomhole continued, “You may think you can use artificial intelligence to navigate this, but we are here with our grounded instincts, and we refuse to be deceived again. Your time is up.”
He emphasized that those who choose to abandon their support after the election should reconsider, insisting, “Stand firm with Ighodalo; we do not welcome fence-sitters in our ranks.”
The Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) declared Monday Okpebholo of the APC as the victor of Saturday’s governorship election.
