A 2024 graduate of computer Science from the Federal University of Technology Akure (FUTA), Kolade Atanseiye,came second at a digital competition organised by one of the country’s leading tech firms, Bluechip Technology Company at the Eko Hotel Lagos on December 2, 2024
Atanseiye’s entry, an AI solution that identifies the problem facing the fintech industry on the credit worthiness of a person and which helps to determine their eligibility for a loan was adjudged the second best and he was rewarded with a cash Prize of N1 Million for his design and pitching of the AI solution.
The organisers received 12,731 submissions, with 447 entrants, 237 active participants and 237 teams from across Nigeria.
Atanseiye says the AI solution can be deployed to the loan app system of a financial organisation to help them determine the credit worthiness of their customers based on previous behaviours of customers.
He said the FUTA chapter of the Data Society of Nigeria,DSN played a pivotal role in his growth in the field.
“I thank DSN FUTA for their support and guidance. Their impact on my journey is deeply appreciated,” Atanseiye said.
