Chelsea Midfielder Conor Gallagher has agreed a deal in principle for his transfer to Spanish capital club Atletico Madrid in a 5-year deal, it has been confirmed.
The embattled Midfielder who is facing the axe at his boyhood club Chelsea said yes to Madrid following a long time negotiations.
Gallagher wanted to stay with Chelsea but needed to be guaranteed more playing time but he is not guaranteed of that by new boss Maresca.
The former Leicester man is aiming at instituting a retentive possessive style of play at Stamford Bridge and sees Gallagher as surplus to requirements owing to his new approach as Gallagher is known for his aggressive and Mourinho-like style of play.
Atletico Madrid boss Diego Simeone appreciates Gallagher is has been keen to add him to his side this summer and they have just agreed a 5-year deal worth €40 million Euros dor the plyer as revealed by Italian journalist Fabrizio Romano.
