The Governor of Ogun State, Dapo Abiodun, has approved the 2023 and 2024 promotion exercises for 26,764 eligible civil and public servants in the state. The announcement was made in a statement released on Friday by the Head of Service, Kehinde Onasanya.
The approved promotions, which cover both upgrades and transfers, will impact civil and public servants across various sectors, including the core civil service, teaching and non-teaching staff of government secondary schools, primary school teachers, and personnel of state-owned boards, corporations, and parastatals, such as the Olabisi Onabanjo University Teaching Hospital (OOUTH).
A total of 26,764 workers from junior, senior, and management levels in Ministries, Departments, and Agencies (MDAs) will benefit from these exercises. The assessment will be based on oral interviews.
Additionally, Governor Abiodun has approved the December 2024 Combined Confirmation/Promotion Tests and Compulsory Public Service Examinations for eligible officers, further emphasizing his commitment to the professional development of the state’s workforce.
The Head of Service expressed gratitude to Governor Abiodun for his worker-friendly policies that have positively impacted the welfare and career growth of Ogun State’s civil servants and encouraged the workers to remain dedicated to their responsibilities.
