In the realm of education, Obaseki commended the Edo Basic Education Sector Transformation (EdoBEST) program for redefining learning experiences in public schools. “With EdoBEST, we have laid a robust foundation for future generations by enhancing teaching quality and fostering an inclusive educational environment. We will ensure that no child in Edo is left behind,” he asserted.
The governor also highlighted significant advancements in agriculture, where initiatives designed to bolster food security and empower local farmers have flourished. He noted that Edo State has become a key player in agriculture through the adoption of modern farming techniques and supportive policies. “We are now an essential contributor to the national food supply, and our rural communities are thriving because of this agricultural transformation,” he remarked.
Obaseki reiterated his administration’s dedication to creating opportunities for youth, women, and small business owners, stating, “We have concentrated on equipping our citizens with the necessary skills and resources to engage in a modern economy. Our entrepreneurship programs have empowered thousands to achieve self-sufficiency, thereby reducing unemployment.”
He emphasized the importance of continuity in governance for sustained development. “It is vital that the next administration builds upon the strong foundation we have established. Sustainability is crucial to preserving the progress we’ve made. By continuing these reforms and initiatives, Edo will only become stronger. The people of Edo deserve consistent, responsible governance that prioritizes their welfare and delivers enduring benefits,” Obaseki advised.
The governor reaffirmed his commitment to facilitating a smooth transition and urged all stakeholders to focus on the collective well-being of the state. “We have shown that with appropriate policies and dedication, progress is attainable.
