The Governor of Anambra State, Prof. Chukwuma Soludo, has expressed strong confidence that Bianca Ojukwu, the Minister of State for Foreign Affairs, will emerge as a significant contributor within President Bola Tinubu’s administration.
Soludo shared his endorsement during the National Executive Committee (NEC) meeting of the All Progressives Grand Alliance (APGA) in Abuja on Friday, marking the first gathering since the Supreme Court confirmed Sly Ezeokenwa as the party’s National Chairman.
Among those present were Ojukwu, Senator Eyinnaya Abaribe representing Abia South, and Alex Ikwueche of the House of Representatives for Aba North, among others.
Bianca Ojukwu, a prominent figure in APGA, previously held the position of Nigeria’s Ambassador to Spain from 2012 to 2015 and served as the country’s Permanent Representative to the UN Tourism Organization.
While expressing his belief that Ojukwu will excel in her new role, Soludo commended President Tinubu for delivering on his commitment to an inclusive government.
He stated, “I extend my gratitude to Mr. President for honoring his pledge to foster unity within the government. This marks a historic moment as APGA welcomes a minister in the Federal Republic of Nigeria. We appreciate the President’s willingness to collaborate beyond the APC.”
Soludo added, “This may also reflect an acknowledgment that both parties share progressive values in their identities. I am confident that Bianca Odumegwu-Ojukwu will add significant value to Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu’s cabinet. You have transitioned from being Nigeria’s ambassador to Spain to becoming an APGA representative in his cabinet. Thank you very much.”
