Governor Charles Soludo has officially inaugurated 21 newly elected council chairpersons, emphasizing the importance of dedication and commitment to grassroots development throughout their terms.

During the swearing-in ceremony held at the Government House in Awka, Governor Soludo encouraged the new officials to prioritize the needs of residents in their actions, reminding them that they were elected to serve the community.

He highlighted that the chairpersons are stepping into their roles at a time when public expectations are high, urging them to meet the aspirations of their constituents without fail.

“Congratulations on your electoral success. You are now transitioning from the world of politics to actual governance. Embrace your roles as catalysts for positive change within your communities,” Soludo stated.

“As part of Project Anambra, we are committed to fulfilling our promises to the people. You have taken an oath today; now it’s time to demonstrate your capabilities. The clock has started ticking, and I wish you all a fruitful tenure ahead,” the governor added.

Chibuike Ofobuike, representing the council chairpersons from Aguata LGA, expressed gratitude to the governor for his guidance and assured him of their unwavering support.

Mr. Ofobuike pledged that they would build upon the significant achievements of the government at the grassroots level.
