The governor announced the reinstatement of Chief Jonathan Zamuna as the Chief of Piriga in Lere Local Government Area, emphasizing the significance of traditional rulers as the backbone of any government due to their close connection with the people.
Governor Sani acknowledged that traditional institutions play a vital role in maintaining stability within our communities and the state as a whole.
He recognized that nurturing citizens’ engagement and involving them in decision-making processes is a fundamental pillar of governance that deserves utmost respect. As stakeholders, traditional institutions hold a critical position in the administration’s strategy for progress.
Highlighting his administration’s respect for the law, Governor Sani pledged to abide by the court’s judgment on June 10, 2024, which ordered the reinstatement of the traditional ruler.

Governor Sani also reaffirmed his administration’s dedication to addressing the issue of insecurity in the state. In an effort to bolster security, he announced plans to establish military formations across the border areas.
