The breakdown of the allocation reveals a thoughtful distribution of funds: N2.3 billion earmarked for gratuities owed to retired civil servants, N1.1 billion designated for wardrobe allowances for public school teachers, and another N1 billion allocated for bonuses to public service workers.

In addition, Governor Eno has also allocated N79 million to sponsor scholarships for four Akwa Ibom natives who recently gained admission to study Standard Pilot and Standard Air Traffic Control courses at the Nigerian College of Aviation Technology in Zaria. Furthermore, N104 million has been disbursed as partial payment towards the 2024 leave grants for primary school teachers, and N172 million has been allocated as severance packages for chairmen and vice-chairmen of local government councils who served between 2018 and 2022.

According to Udoh, Governor Eno remains steadfast in his commitment to advancing the ARISE Agenda, aimed at positively impacting the lives of Akwa Ibom citizens. This initiative reflects the Governor’s dedication to enhancing the welfare of both retired personnel and current employees, amidst challenging economic conditions. It stands as a testament to the state government’s unwavering support for its people’s well-being.
