A 26-year-old groom known as AK discovers his supposed wife is a man twelve days after their wedding.
AK met his 26-year-old wife, Adinda Kanza, on Instagram in 2023 after falling in love online, the couple dated in person for a year.
During their in-person encounters, Adinda wore a traditional Muslim niqab that covered her full face, which AK saw as a symbol of her Islamic commitment.
After Adinda informed AK that she no longer had any relatives, the pair decided to marry and held a short ceremony at his home.
But AK became skeptical of his new bride shortly after they married on April 12, since she avoided intimacy by claiming she was on her period or feeling ill.
AK said Adinda refused to communicate to his family and continued to wear her niqab at home, so he hunted out her previous address 12 days after their wedding and was startled to discover her parents were still alive and well.
Adinda’s parents disclosed that AK’s wife was actually a man known as ESH, who began crossdressing around 2020.
They also stated that they were unaware that their son was in a relationship, let alone married.
According to the authorities, Adinda acted and spoke like a woman, as evidenced by her appearance in wedding pictures.
He also had a lovely voice and tone, so no one suspected he was a woman.
According to local media accounts, ESH was detained by police after telling them he planned to marry AK in order to take his family’s riches.
He faces fraud accusations that may send him to prison for up to four years.
