Former socialite Gucci Branch has opened up about being left to struggle by his former associates, Naira Marley, Zlatan Ibile, Rahman Jago, and Pocolee, after their EFCC arrest and release in 2019.
Gucci Branch expressed disappointment and hurt, revealing he’s now working as a laborer to make ends meet.
He specifically called out Pocolee, who he claims has ignored his messages despite Gucci Branch’s past support as he narrated his story.
“EFCC arrested me, Naira Marley, Zlatan, Poco Lee and others back in the days and when we were released, they all became famous and rich, then they forgot about me”.
“Even Poco Lee that i was his closest friend cut me off despite me making him famous by posting him on my page and also introducing him to so many artists like Davido , Burna Boy, Timaya and so many others, but today i’m not his friend anymore”.
“Naira Marley left me after they became rich, I’m now in the streets walking from one dust bin to another picking valuable items to sell and make money to feed myself”
“The worst is that news got to me that I’m dead and let me tell you how that rumour started, Davido, Burna Boy and some other artists asked Naira Marley, where is that your boy called Gucci Branch, He told them that I’m dead so since then I have been unable to get help from anyone because they all think I’m dead”. He narrated.
The former content creator, who once collaborated with Burna Boy, Davido, and Tiwa Savage, feels betrayed by his peers’ silence.
Gucci Branch’s story raises questions about loyalty and support in the entertainment industry.
