Grammy-winning Nigerian artist, Ayodeji Balogun, popularly known as Wizkid, has confidently shared that all of his chart-topping tracks were recorded while sitting down, emphasizing his relaxed approach to making hit songs.

In a viral video, the “Essence” hitmaker disclosed that he doesn’t put much effort into creating music or promoting it through traditional channels like media interviews.

“All my biggest songs, from ‘Holla At Your Boy’ to ‘Soco’, ‘Joro’, and ‘Ojuelegba’, I recorded them sitting down,” Wizkid revealed.

He further elaborated on his laid-back creative process, saying, “You [P2J] know how my things be for Lagos. You’ve been in my house. You know what I do. I’m chilling. You get me, no stress.”

Wizkid also expressed his aversion to promotional activities, stating, “You see promo, I hate doing that sht. You know press, I hate doing all that sht, bro. I know exactly what the people want.”

He credited producer P2J as the only one who truly understands his process, adding, “All we have to do is turn on the mic. The amazing thing is that the world is now globalized, you don’t need anyone to lie to you.”
