A man in Ibadan, known only by his nickname “Mistina Orobo,” recently made shocking confessions on live radio, claiming he had killed approximately 76 women over seven years to sustain mystical powers.

Speaking on Yinka Ayefele’s Fresh FM program, “Opeyemi,” Orobo alleged that he lured his victims from nightclubs and social spots, using their blood to fortify themselves in rituals. “My idol demands sacrifices,” he said. “I’ve taken blood from about 73 to 76 women. Afterwards, certain body parts were consumed as part of the ritual—the tongue, palm, and foot are the most potent.”

Mistina Orobo, who claimed he now lives as a reformed man, described a life steeped in ritualistic practices and alleged connections with powerful clients. “I worked for top people—bank managers, politicians, wealthy men. They would pay me between N50 million and N80 million to take out people for them.

I worked with a group, and I trained others in robbery and assassination. Everyone got their cut,” he said. Raised by an herbalist, he was exposed to rituals from a young age. At just nine, Orobo said he was consuming sacrifices at seven different intersections as part of his father’s practices, which he believes fortified him and paved the way for his eventual criminal lifestyle.

Describing his claimed change of heart, Orobo explained that he had met Jesus in a dream, an encounter that he says led him to abandon his previous life.

“I had been killed before but returned to life due to the idol I had at home,” he shared. “One day, I planned revenge on those who had harmed me. But, at the last minute, I stopped. That moment opened a path to transformation.

Now, I’m studying in a seminary to be a prophet, and I’ve left my old ways behind,” he said, adding that he has since sold all assets tied to his former life.

Orobo also suggested that the late Oyo State lawmaker, Temitope Olatoye, widely known as “Sugar,” could have been saved from his assassination had he been in Nigeria at the time of the attack.

Sugar died in 2019 after being shot by suspected political thugs. The confession has shocked listeners and raised questions about the extent of ritual killings in Ibadan and beyond. Authorities have yet to confirm his claims or investigate his alleged affiliations.
