The banter between the Chelsea legend and current employer of the London-based club continues to bubble as John Obi Mikel sends a response to forward Nicholas Jackson who responded angrily to Mikel’s comment on his performance in their Premier League opener against Manchester City.

Mikel was critical of the forward who he claimed lacked the expertise to lead the line for the Stamford Bridge Club.

After scoring Chelsea’s opening goal in their 6-2 win over Wolves, Jackson sent a strong message to Mikel as the former Nigeria captain sent an immediate response to the Senegalese.

“I like the guy(Jackson) as a football player. I like him; there’s something there as a football player.

“I haven’t said that he’s a bad player at all. I only said that his finishing qualities are not there yet. He’s young exactly. All I said is that he needs a kind more experienced striker to come help him. Help him improve, get better.

” We all can see the shifts he puts in week in and week out. So for me, I would like to see my African brother like he said do well in the premier league, come to Chelsea, a big club, a massive club.

“If there’s a way he needs to improve, I will tell him. If he scores every week and tells me to shut up, I will take it.” Mikel added.
