Gov Adeleke has said he is sacrificing his security vote for the development of Osun State
Adeleke made this statement on Thursday in Osogbo while receiving Oba Joseph Fashiku, the Olunisha of Inisha town in the Odo-Otin Local Government Area, along with his Chiefs.
The governor declared that he was enthusiastic about using the limited resources for the benefit of the people, as opposed to following tradition and gathering security votes.
“I have not been collecting security votes because my top priority is the state’s development.”We have the best of intentions when we do things.
We are rebuilding and renovating roadways, additionally, we are hiring qualified educators, distributing educational resources, and offering free lunches to students in public schools.
Over 60,000 state people have received care thanks to the Imole free medical outreach.
“We have settled the outstanding salaries and pensions,” he declared.
Adeleke said that the state’s numerous ongoing road development projects aim to boost cocoa output and the state’s economy.
Additionally, he said that his government was making every effort to ensure that the state’s planned airport was built.
Adeleke stated that in addition to improving the state’s infrastructure, his government was also working hard to enhance stomach infrastructure.
The governor stated that he would be happy to welcome back Alh. Shuaibu Oyedokun, the former National Deputy Chairman of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), who recently defected to the All Progressives Congress (APC) in the state.
Adeleke added that he would be happy to welcome Oyedokun back to the party, calling him a parent and a leader.
In addition, he expressed his happiness that Oyedokun’s hometown of Inisha was not involved in his defection.
Oba Fashikun stated in his speech that the town’s residents did not accept Oyedokun’s move to the APC.
The traditional head of the town said that the people of the town supported the governor, and that the people of the state would continue to support the governor even after Oyedokun defected.
Speaking with the traditional ruler, Chief Kunle Alao said that the town firmly supported the governor.
