In a candid conversation on Monday, Big Brother Naija Season 9 contestant Shaun opened up about the dynamics within his pair, “Shatoria,” which teams him with Victoria. Speaking with fellow housemates Wanni and Handi, Shaun praised their partnership, describing them as a “dynamic duo,” before contrasting their teamwork with his own situation.

“You guys [Wanni X Handi] are a dynamic duo. I am the one carrying my duo,” Shaun remarked in a melancholic tone, hinting at the lack of balance in his partnership with Victoria.

This revelation comes on the heels of a statement made by show host, Ebuka Obi-Uchendu, who noted that some housemates appeared to be relying heavily on their partners. Last Sunday, Ebuka directly questioned Victoria about the state of her partnership with Shaun, asking if she felt their relationship was “off.” Victoria, however, denied any issues, despite her noticeably reserved demeanor since the show began.

Victoria defended her approach, explaining that she is intentionally keeping her distance to avoid interfering in Shaun’s relationships with other housemates. However, her laid-back attitude has raised concerns, impacting her bond with both Shaun and the rest of the contestants.

Meanwhile, Wanni and Handi currently hold the position of custodians, a role that places them in a position of power within the house. On Monday, the pair known as “Nelita” achieved a significant milestone by winning both the Head of House and Immunity Challenge, making them the first duo to secure immunity this season.

As the competition intensifies, all eyes are on Shaun and Victoria to see if they can turn things around and find their stride as a team.
