The Ipaja Police Division’s officers successfully repulsed a motorcycle operator attack on their division early in the morning.
The incident happened after police started enforcing Lagos State’s current motorbike ban earlier that day. Hundreds of assailants attacked the station brandishing deadly weapons, firing at the cops and trying to take control of the facility.

Area Command and the Rapid Response Squad (RRS) provided reinforcement while the division’s troops and commanders maintained their post. During the attack, two of the assailants suffered fatal injuries. Resulting to impounding over two hundred motorcycle
This did not stop the authorities from carrying out their mandate, though, as they seized over 200 bikes, detained some of the assailants, and recovered one pistol that was created in the area.
The Lagos State Police Command would not be intimidated into abandoning its duties of upholding peace and order in the community and enforcing all valid laws.
