Popular Nigerian singer and former Big Brother Naija winner, Laycon, has publicly called out DJ Neptune over unpaid royalties for their collaboration on the hit song “Nobody (Icons Remix).”
In a viral post shared on his X (formerly Twitter) handle on Wednesday, Laycon accused DJ Neptune of failing to honor their agreement regarding payment for the track.
The reality star expressed his frustration with the situation, highlighting that despite the passage of four years, Neptune has remained silent on the matter.
Laycon emphasized the importance of artists adhering to agreements in the music industry, urging Neptune to fulfill his part of the deal.
He wrote: “Abeg o, DJ Neptune how far my agreement and split for the ‘Nobody (Icons Remix)’ song though. Is it not still ready? Haba it’s been 4 years.”

The track in question, “Nobody Icon Remix,” which also featured Joeboy, was released in October 2020 as a tribute to Laycon’s fanbase, known as Icons, following his win on BBNaija. Despite its success, the payment dispute between the collaborators remains unresolved.
As of now, DJ Neptune has yet to respond to Laycon’s allegations, leaving fans and industry observers eager to see how the situation unfolds.
