The Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board (JAMB) has announced the commencement of its accreditation process for centres participating in the 2025 Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examination (UTME).

In a statement issued on Sunday, JAMB spokesperson Dr. Fabian Benjamin described the accreditation as a crucial initial step in the board’s preparations for the annual examination.

Dr. Benjamin advised new Computer-Based Test (CBT) centres seeking to participate in the exercise to familiarize themselves with the requirements by visiting JAMB’s official website.

He urged them to notify the Registrar of JAMB through their respective Zonal Directors or State Coordinators of their intention to participate in the accreditation process.

“Established centres that were successfully accredited and participated in the 2024 UTME without issues should register their interest via the Centre Management System (CMS) Portal,” he added.

To streamline the process, JAMB’s Zonal and State Offices will create CMS Portal accounts for new centres. These centres are required to conduct a mandatory Autobot/Autotest as part of the accreditation process.

Dr. Benjamin explained that the Autobot/Autotest ensures compliance with the board’s standards and serves as a prerequisite for the physical accreditation visit scheduled for December 2024.

Only centres that successfully complete the test and meet the necessary criteria will be eligible for the physical accreditation exercise.

“Centres that fail the Autobot/Autotest will not be revisited, while those meeting all requirements will be approved for the 2025 UTME registration and examination,” he concluded.
