Former American President Donald Trump has accepted a debate challenge posed by current President Joe Biden.

The first debate according to CNN will take place on June 27 at the key swing state of Georgia with the second to take place on September 10 which will be hosted by ABC.

Moderators for the June debate will be announced on a later date as the audience will have to watch from home as according to the hosts.

Trump’s campaign while accepting the debate challenge said “We believe there should be more than just two opportunities for the American people to hear more from the candidates themselves”.

Trump, before he was first elected as the US President took part in three debates against his rival Hilary Clinton and won just one out of the three with the later coming out top in top.

The debate challenge arose after a heated social media conversation with the pair and Trump saying: “Just tell me when. Let’s get ready to rumble!!!”

Mr Biden said Mr Trump was “free on Wednesdays” – a reference to his criminal trial in New York, while Mr Trump claimed his rival was the “worst debater” who “can’t put two sentences together”.
