The Katsina State Government has allocated over ₦30 billion to intensify efforts against insecurity across the state, according to Nasiru Danmusa, the State Commissioner for Security.
In a statement issued on Saturday, Danmusa emphasized that this substantial investment underscores Governor Dikko Radda’s unwavering commitment to restoring lasting peace in the state’s troubled regions.
The funds are earmarked for equipping security forces, enhancing intelligence operations, and supporting community-based crime prevention initiatives. The commissioner expressed satisfaction with the state’s proactive measures, noting a significant decline in banditry and other criminal activities.
“It is the government’s resolve to continue prioritizing the safety and well-being of its citizens. I assure you that no stone will be left unturned in the fight against insecurity in Katsina State until we conquer,” Danmusa stated.
He reiterated the government’s renewed commitment to eradicating insecurity, stressing that it is a collective responsibility that requires the active participation of all citizens.
