Nigerian music star Daniel Anidugbe, popularly known as Kizz Daniel, has surprised fans with the announcement of a musical hiatus.
The singer revealed that he will not release any new music until 2026, following the debut of his highly anticipated EP, Uncle K, scheduled to drop on November 29, 2024.
“After this, I no dey drop anything again until 2026,” Kizz Daniel shared on his X handle on Friday, triggering mixed reactions from fans who expressed both disappointment and understanding.
Since his breakout single Woju in 2016, Kizz Daniel has remained one of Nigeria’s most consistent hitmakers, with five studio albums and a repertoire of chart-topping tracks that have solidified his position in the industry.
Amid the buzz about his break, the artiste also shared a deeply personal tragedy. He disclosed that his wife recently lost her mother to breast cancer and called on his fanbase, the Vaddicts, to pray for the family.
“My wife lost her mom to breast cancer, and I’m here mourning with her… Say a prayer for her mom, Vaddicts,” he wrote.
The dual announcement has left fans emotional, as they rally to support the singer both in his career decisions and his time of mourning.
