The management of the Kwara State Hospitals Management Board designed and launched a human resources application called “HMB STAFF” to aid its monitoring and supervisory responsibilities and to provide live staff auditing with a just few clicks on any smart phone.
With HMB STAFF App we can now access live manpower data and staff strength per hospital to ensure need based and efficient distribution of manpower.
With the Digital Roaster, we are also able to have live information on who is to be on duty and who is not especially during monitoring and supervision visits.
HMB STAFF App is able to provide real-time data on the number of staff on study leave, maternity leave, causal live, sick leave, annual leave and all other reasons for been absent from work including their approved dates of resumption.
The creation of a customized ID card with unique ID numbers will help in proper identification of all staff, their profession, work location and department.

As we continue to improve and update HMB STAFF App with more features to ease government administration, it is our hope to be able to give the Office of Head of Service, Ministry of Finance, Civil Service Commission and the Ministry of Health access to real-time staff database to assist in any future administrative processes that may involve health workers,” said Dr. Abdulraheem Malik, the Executive Secretary of the board.
As at the time of filing this report, a total of 332 staff had already signed up and created their work profile in less than 72 hours of the HMB STAFF App going live on Google Play store.
