Ondo State was thrown into shock this morning as a local landlady met a tragic end right outside her home.
The incident occurred at around 8:30 AM in the peaceful neighborhood of Akure, the state capital.
According to eyewitnesses, the landlady, identified as Mrs. Olufunmi Onabanjo, was about to leave her residence. As she opened the gate to drive her car out of the compound, an unknown gunman appeared and opened fire, striking her multiple times.
Neighbours rushed to the scene upon hearing the gunshots and found Mrs. Onabanjo lying in a pool of blood. Despite their efforts to save her, she succumbed to her injuries before help could arrive.
