Manchester United has verbally agreed a deal in principle for the signing of 17-year old left-backDiego León from Cerro Porteno.

The deal is believed to be worth $4 million plus $1 million in easy add-ons and over $3.5 million based on player’s/team performances.

Manchester United hopes to sign all documents this month but León will join the club in the summer of 2025.

He could visit Manchester and Old Trafford before to start feeling this new chapter, prepared for next year.

United are lacking in the left-back position for years as their two most-preferred players in that position remain unstable.

Luke Shaw and Malacia have been inconsistent for years because of different injuries as several players including Diego Dalot and Mazraoui have all been drafted to fill the gap.

León will join the club in 2025 as the club seeks an overhaul in the squad to reduce expenses.
