Manchester United are currently negotiating with the representatives of wing wizard Amad Diallo to get him to sign a new deal before the new Year.

The Ivorian winger who was signed from Atalanta by José Mourinho in 2021 has seen a significant rise in recent weeks under new head coach Rubén Amorim.

The youngster has been a key member of the side since this season despite being relatively on and off form during Erik Ten Hag.

Following his arrival in January 2021, Amad signed a five-year deal with an option for a further one year which was supposed to be up in 2026.

But the Manchester United board are very impressed with the Ivory Coast star who has scored three goals with five assists in the Premier League and UEFA Europa League so far this season.

His recent exploit was his man of the match performance against Everton in the league in which he produced a masterclass performance, capped with two assists while also winning the ball in a dangerous area for United’s second goal.

Positive contacts took place in the recent weeks and United are optimistic to get a new long term deal done before the end of 2024, so later this month.

Club planning to make it happen even before activating the club clause to extend the current deal until 2026.
