It has been a month packed with meetings and constant negotiations regarding the transfer of Victor Osimhen away from the Italian side Napoli.
After signing a new two year deal to stay at Naples in January, agreement between clubs and Osimhen’s camp was for the Nigeria Super Eagles forward to leave this summer but with a release clause of €130 million.
For Osimhen and his camp as well as his former club Napoli, the feeling was that Osimhen’s availability in the market was a bidding war with the right amount being presented for negotiations.
A lot of bids actually arrived but not with the right price as both Napoli and Osimhen would love.
The forward on Monday agreed to a deal in principle to join Turkish side Galatasaray on a season-long loan with Clauses.
SALARY SORTED
Victor Osimhen will still be earning the same salary as was included in his current contract at Napoli when he completed his move to Galatasaray.
Galatasaray has agreed to pay in full his salary for the one season he is to spend in Turkey.
RELEASE CLAUSE REDUCED
Before his departure, Osimhen has requested that his release clause be lowered by Napoli in case he finds himself a new club in January or after his loan spell at Gala.
His demand was met as his release clause has been reduced from the initial €130 million as it will now be in the region of €75 million.
OSIMHEN CAN LEAVE GALA IN JANUARY
Agreement has been in place for Victor Osimhen to leave his new club Galatasaray in January should be agrees to part ways in the winter window.
The decision is up to the player to make in January but a specific fee will be paid to Galatasaray for any deal to take him away from Istanbul.
NO BUY CLAUSE
Gala has not included any buy option in the deal as it is a straight loan deal.
Osimhen will travel to Istanbul in the coming hours as Gala has already booked a private jet for him.
