Chelsea boss Enzo Maresca has given an in-depth view of why Manchester City decided to cash-in on Chelsea’s best player in the past year and running.

Cole Palmer has been terrific since his Permanent switch from Manchester City to Chelsea.

The Blues agreed a deal to sign Cole Palmer from Manchester City for a reported £42.5 million ($51.9 million) on deadline day in the summer of 2022/23 season.

The 22-year old Midfielder has scored a whooping 29 goals and 16 assists in just 34 games.

Maresca who was one of the coaches under Pep Guardiola at Manchester City when Palmer was sold explained why the youngster left.

“Why City sold Cole Palmer? Everyone at City, they knew how good Cole is. The only problem is having so many players there…”.

“It’s difficult to give all of them minutes, so no one at City thought that Cole was not good enough, no doubt”, Maresca told TNT.
