Argentine football manager Mauricio Pochetino has signed a deal in principle to become the new head coach of the United States Men’s National Team (USMNT).

The agreement came after he left Chelsea football club which was his last job as a coach and started a new adventure in the United States.

“The decision to join the US wasn’t just about football, it’s about the journey that this team, this country is on”.

“The energy, passion, and hunger to achieve something truly historic here are the things that inspired me”.

Pochettino will be the man in charge of the United States at the 2026 FIFA World Cup.
