President Bola Tinubu, Nigeria’ s President, made a bold declaration during a meeting with the Arewa Consultative Forum (ACF) leadership at the Presidential Villa in Abuja. On Thursday, President Tinubu asserted his commitment to upholding the expectations of Nigerians by holding his cabinet members accountable for their performance.

Addressing the audience, President Tinubu expressed gratitude to his cabinet members for their efforts while underscoring his readiness to dismiss any of them if they fail to meet the standards set by Nigerians.
He emphasized the importance of serving the people effectively, stating, ” I will relieve any of them of their duties anytime I feel that they are failing Nigerians. “
In addition to holding his cabinet accountable, President Tinubu urged state governments to prioritize the needs of local communities by ensuring transparency and efficiency in the management of local governments. He emphasized the crucial role of local communities in the overall development of the nation and urged governors to address their needs promptly.
Furthermore, President Tinubu highlighted the significance of education in nation- building, labeling the situation of out- of- school children in certain parts of Nigeria as unacceptable. He stressed the pivotal role of education in combating poverty and called for collaborative efforts to improve the education system.
Addressing the pressing issue of security, President Tinubu commended the National Security Adviser for his efforts and pledged to invest more in technology to enhance national security. He assured the audience of his government’ s commitment to ensuring the safety and protection of all citizens.
Moreover, President Tinubu touched upon economic development and livestock management, identifying animal husbandry as a significant challenge for Nigeria. He proposed measures to boost dairy farming and called for cooperation between herders and state governments to optimize land use for economic growth.
In his closing remarks, President Tinubu appealed for national unity and reiterated his government’ s commitment to serving the interests of all Nigerians. He emphasized the strength of diversity and urged continued support for his administration.
To follow up on the issues raised during the meeting, President Tinubu directed the establishment of a committee led by the Secretary to the Government of the Federation, Senator George Akume.
In response, Barrister Bashir Dalhatu, Chairman of the Board of Trustees of ACF, praised President Tinubu’ s leadership and expressed confidence in his ability to fulfill his promises to the Northern region.
He lauded President Tinubu’ s past support and collaboration with Northerners, stating that it had strengthened the bond between the President and the people of Northern Nigeria.
