The National Agency for Food and Drug Administration and Control (NAFDAC) has launched a thorough investigation into Christ Mercy Land Delivery Ministries, a faith-based organization accused of producing and distributing unregistered and unsafe “miracle” products.
These products, including “Miracle Water” and “Miracle Soap,” are marketed with unverified healing claims and sold to unsuspecting consumers.
NAFDAC initiated the probe following petitions from concerned citizens, raising alarms about the illegal production and sale of these unregulated items. According to NAFDAC’s Director General, Prof. Mojisola Christianah Adeyeye, the public is urged to stop using these products, as they lack scientific backing and may pose serious health risks.
The investigation also revealed that Christ Mercy Land Delivery Ministries falsely claimed that their products were registered with NAFDAC, deceiving the public and violating the agency’s regulations. This false representation is a significant breach of public trust and endangers consumers.
As part of the crackdown, NAFDAC has sealed the factory of Globod Table Water, allegedly involved in the production of the “Miracle Water.” The agency continues its investigation into the ministry’s operations, vowing to take appropriate regulatory action to ensure public safety.
This move is part of NAFDAC’s ongoing efforts to protect Nigerian consumers from unregistered and harmful products. The agency is conducting nationwide surveillance, working with other regulatory bodies and law enforcement to remove dangerous items from the market.
NAFDAC urges the public to remain cautious, report suspicious products, and only purchase goods from reputable sources. The agency remains committed to safeguarding public health by eliminating unsafe and unregulated products.
