Italian side Napoli has agreed a three-year deal in principle for the permanent transfer of Chelsea forward Romelu Lukaku.
Lukaku has been touted to replace Nigeria’s Victor Osimhen who is largely expected to depart the Naples-based side this summer.
The 25-year old transfer to French club Paris Saint-Germain is on standby due to differences in valuation of the player by both clubs.
Napoli is insisting on a €120 million as inserted as the release clause in the last contract Osimhen signed last summer but PSG are holding out for €80 million.
However, Napoli are willing to lower the asking price to €90 million only for PSG’s Lee to be included in the deal as the French club believes the €80 million is a good enough deal for the African footballer of the year.
Napoli wants to be quick on Lukaku’s deal in order to make him join the side on their Pre-Season tour as Coach Antonio Conte loves his side to have a start together for a fire down competitive season.
