German champion and Bayer Leverkusen speed star Nathan Tella has withdrawn from the Super Eagles squad due to family reasons.
The forward will not be in the team when Nigeria will take on South Africa at the famous Godswill Akpabio International Stadium with a travel to Benin Republic a few days later.
Nigeria needs to secure wins in the two games to boost their qualifications to the 2026 FIFA world cup but the quality in camp is reducing after Napoli forward Victor Osimhen pulled out due to injury.
However, Nigeria is blessed with an abundance of talents especially in the forward areas still have the likes of Victor Boniface and Ademola Lookman to spark the attack for Nigeria.
In the same vein, Rizespor’s Ibrahim Olawoyin has been drafted in by coach Finidi George to replace the German-based star.
