The Niger Delta Development Commission (NDDC) has almost completed the selection of beneficiaries for its Youth Internship Scheme, which aims to empower 10,000 young people through year-long internships.

With over 3.2 million applicants, the initiative reflects the immense potential of the youth in the Niger Delta.

The NDDC assures stakeholders that the selection will be conducted transparently and fairly, emphasising its commitment to providing transformative opportunities that will impact the region.

In addition to the Youth Internship Scheme, the NDDC has launched several programmes, including the Holistic Opportunity Projects of Engagement (HOPE), which gathers data on youth qualifications and needs to tailor initiatives accordingly.

The NDDC has partnered with KPMG to enhance its governance and accountability, ensuring ethical practices in its operations.

As the selection process wraps up, the NDDC calls for patience from stakeholders, affirming its dedication to creating a brighter future through innovation and empowerment for the youth of the Niger Delta region.
