The National Drug Law Enforcement Agency (NDLEA) has apprehended a suspect bound for Europe after attempting to smuggle cocaine hidden in sandals. The suspect’s identity has not been disclosed.
Femi Babafemi, the agency’s Director of Media and Advocacy, shared videos of the seized drugs on X.com on Sunday, showcasing the surprising concealment method used by the suspect.
In his post, Babafemi wrote, “God is not mocked! You’re wearing a cloth advertising God on your trip to Europe but you’re concealing cocaine worth millions in the sandals you’re wearing beneath. The temerity! The audacity!” The videos capture the moment NDLEA officers made the discovery at the Lagos airport.
